Strategic Objective 1 – Improve the access to and delivery of quality health and wellness education, information and services that meet the needs of the communities we serve
ocus Area 1 – Continue an analysis of the Pettis County Health and wellness system (i.e. providers, Educational, and health/wellness resources)
Focus Area 2 – Distribute Health & Wellness Information to targeted families and children.
Focus Area 3 – Monitor "Sneakers" and "Funtastic" programs at Pettis and Benton County Schools.
Focus Area 4 – Implement "Healthy U: Do For Yourself. Inspire Others."
Focus Area 5 – Conduct the 6th Annual Health & Wellness Summit to focus on youth.
Focus Area 6 - Continue to implement "Clean Air Sedalia" awareness programs targeted at youth and the community.
Strategic Objective 2 – Recruit and develop health care providers to meet the needs of the communities we serve
Focus Area 1 – Be an advocate for the three task groups of the Health & Wellness Planning Group.
Focus Area 2 – Expand the “Partners in Preparation” program with local schools, e.g. "Breakfast With the Experts" and Medical Explorers Post #75.
Focus Area 3 – Continue the activities of the Healthcare Professions R & R Initiative to support recruitment and retention of all health professionals
Focus Area 4 – Attract local minorities into health careers and provide scholarships; coordinate scholarship funding for health careers
Focus Area 5 - Research and develop a scholarship resource directory of health careers for local students.
Focus Area 6 – Identify local students currently enrolled in allied health and/or health related post-secondary education programs and contact them to determine possible interest in returning to the community
Focus Area 7 – Explore and develop educational programs to support health-related careers.
