Strategic Objective 1 – Form partnerships with organizations throughout the community and elsewhere to enhance education, training and professional development opportunities

Focus Area 1 – Enhance lifelong learning offerings

Focus Area 2 – Create cross-representative advisory committees to work with teachers and faculty to develop relevant skill-based curriculum initiatives

Focus Area 3 – Form a cross-representational literacy council to advocate and promote literacy across the area

Strategic Objective 2 – Improve/increase communication and awareness efforts to create a positive image of education throughout the community

Focus Area 1 – Work closely with local media to present a positive image of education

Focus Area 2 – Generate a column in the newspaper to spotlight education activities and initiatives in the community

Strategic Objective 3 - Create the opportunity for a seamless transition of students from one education level to the next

Focus Area 1 – Develop joint 2 + 2 + 2 curriculum partnerships between area schools, SFCC and 4-year colleges and universities
